My sister-in-law who runs Lucky Charms Card Collection was recently bitten by the pin trading bug during the recent Vancouver 2010 Olympic games. She never knew her browsing through hundreds of pins hung on a display rack would lead to a new passion. Well, she met a few collectors, made friends with some traders and by the height of the games, she already knew which pins were limited edition, which were rare and knew mini histories of the most sought after pins! She was pin trading like mad! She loved every minute of it.
She enjoyed it so much, she wanted to create a place where people could come together and pin trade after the games were over. So after a little research, she opened up an sister company, Lucky Charms Pin Collection. Her club already gained a reputation as a friendly place for pin traders to come together. The first swap meet took place on Easter Weekend this past April. The event had a overwhelming warm response with nearly 400 participants. A second pin swap is taking place next week and I’m sure it’ll attract even more traders.
